LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Junior outside hitter Kaitlyn Foster and senior defensive specialist Chandler Lentz of Southwestern University have been named SCAC Volleyball Players of the Week for Week 5 of the SCAC Volleyball season.

Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from
Monday, September 22nd through Sunday, September 28th.
Foster led the Pirates to an outstaninding weekend in SCAC Cross Divisional play, going 4-0 on the weekend including a sweep over 10th-ranked Colorado College.
Foster led the Pirates offensively in nearly every match and hit over .300 in three of the four contests. She finished the weekend with 39 total kills (3.00 kills/set) and 72 digs (5.54 digs/set) while hitting .240 for the weekend. Against Colorado College, Foster had 11 kills and no errors, hitting .344 in the match. She also added eight blocks and seven service aces.
For the season, Foster is sixth in the conference with 181 kills and eighth in the conference with 2.55 kills/set. Foster is also second in the conference with 361 digs, averaging 5.08 digs/set.

Sophomore middle blocker Presleigh Watson of Austin College had a strong weekend for Austin College, totaling 39 kills in four matches for an average of 2.6 per set with a .298 hitting percentage. Sophomore middle blocker Keli Sherwood of Colorado College led the team with a .377 attack percentage over the weekend and helped CC to a 3-1 record and a share in first place in the SCAC standings. Junior middle blocker Jaime Birzer of Dallas hit .276 on the conference weekend, compiling 40 kills for the weekend and seven blocks to lead the Crusaders to 2-2 over the weekend. Sophomore middle blocker Mackenzie Benson of Texas Lutheran set, and then tied, a new season high with 12 kills in back-to-back matches vs. Centenary and Austin College and hit a season-best .588 against the Ladies. Senior outside hitter Maggie Emodi of Trinity tallied 45 total kills to lead Trinity, averaging 2.81 kills/set and finishing with a .224 hitting percentage. She also added four service aces, as well as 57 digs (3.56 digs/set) and 16 blocks (1.00 blocks/set). Centenary and Schreiner did not nominate anyone.

Lentz finished the weekend with 75 total digs, averaging 5.77 digs/set. In the only match that wasn't decided in three sets, Lentz had 30 digs in a four set victory over Dallas. She followed that up with an impresssive 18 dig performance in the victory over the Tigers. Lentz also added eight assists, two kills, and two service aces for the weekend.
For the season, Lentz is third in the conference with 347 digs while averaging 4.89 digs/set.

Tigers went 3-1 on the
weekend. Sophomore outside hitter Jessie
Koster of Dallas had 80 digs over the weekend,
picking up 5.67 digs/set to lead the Crusaders to a 2-2 record over
the weekend. Senior defensive specialist
Megan Lee of Texas
Lutheran tallied a
weekend-high 33 digs in a 3-1 win against Austin College and 85
total digs for the weekend including 6.07
digs/set. Senior outside hitter Maggie Emodi of
