Schreiner University, the defending Division III national champion, leads the SCAC in the No. 2 spot, moving up one place from last week. The Mountaineers began their season with a win at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational after senior Jimmy Keener had a record day. In their second competition of the season at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invitational, the Mountaineers recorded a second place finish.
Southwestern University wasn't far behind, remaining in the No. 13 spot. The Pirates have earned top five finishes in all of their competitions this season, including second place finishes at the Rhodes Collegiate Classic and the Royal Lakes Invitational.
Trinity University and Texas Lutheran round out the SCAC teams that are ranked, coming in at No. 23 and No. 25, respectively. The Tigers have competed twice this season, earning a seventh place finish at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational to begin the season before finishing in ninth at the Tournament Town Championship Preview, where 13 of the nation's top 25 Division III teams competed.
The TLU Bulldogs moved into the top 25 after earning second place at the John Bohmann Memorial Classic and third place at the Tunica National Invitational.
The Mountaineers of Schreiner will compete next in Destin, Fla. at the Golfweek Fall Invitational October 12-14 for their last competition of the fall season. Texas Lutheran and Trinity will be competing at the Trinity/Alamo City Classic in San Antonio, Texas October 20-21. Southwestern's final competition of the fall will be at the Abilene Intercollegiate, hosted by Hardin-Simmons University October 27-28.
