LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - All eight of the league's women's soccer teams competed this week, posting a composite record of 6-7-1.
No. 1 Trinity drew a 1-1 tie with No. 7 Emory Univeristy on its first of two road matches this week, but dominated Berry College 4-0.
Austin College played three games, beating LeTourneau University and Millsaps College but falling to UT-Dallas.
Dallas split the weekend on the road, beating NAIA team St. Mary's (Kan.) 3-1 before falling to Bethany (Kan.) 1-3.
Schreiner recorded a shutout against LeTourneau, earning both goals from freshman Beth Ann Davis.
Austin College
The 'Roos improved to 4-1 this week, winning two games against LeTourneau University and Millsaps College before falling to the University of Texas-Dallas. The team started the week Tuesday against LeTourneau, earning a 2-1 win in the second overtime period. Erin Eckart scored the goal in the 105th minute, marking her first career goal. The first points for the 'Roos came from a Kyli Scott goal, off of an assist from Tori Strunk in the 38th minute. Goalkeeper Franchesca Lozoya marked seven saves in the game. The 'Roos took on Millsaps next, recording a 3-1 win. Despite a 1-0 lead for the Majors heading into halftime, the 'Roos came out firing, marking goals in the 50th, 78th and 89th minute marks. Cami Mavelian knocked in a penalty kick to start the scoring after Tyler Marquez was taken down in the box. This score was followed by Marquez with a goal of her own. Ashley Rice punched it home, getting the last goal in with 1:03 to play in the game. Sunday, the 'Roos couldn't hold back the strong UT-Dallas offense, falling for the first time this season, 2-0. The Comets outshot the 'Roos 30-6, 10 of which were on goal. Lozoya recorded eight saves on the day.
Centenary
The Ladies moved to 0-4 after the weekend, falling to both Wiley College and Howard Payne at home. Tuesday, the Ladies fell 1-3 to Wiley College, getting the team's lone goal from Marissa Hughes off of a deflected penalty kick. Goalkeeper Erica Coker recorded three saves on the day. On Saturday, the Ladies fell 3-0 to Howard Payne. HPU outshot Centenary 22-4, marking ten shots on goal. Coker recorded seven saves.
Dallas
The Crusaders split their weekend on the road, beating the University of St. Mary's 3-1 Saturday, but falling to Bethany College (Kan.) 1-3 Sunday. Cascade Meyers marked one of the three goals off of an assist from Taylor Ray and Alex Acquista. Nicole Johnson recorded the remaining two goals in the game. Johnson was the only Crusader to score against Bethany, marking the first goal of the game for either team in the fifth minute. Kaitlin Meske led the team with two shots, one on goal. Goalkeeper Tori Fleharty recorded 11 saves in the loss.
Schreiner
The Mountaineers recorded a shutout this weekend as they defeated LeTourneau 2-0 Friday. Beth Ann Davis provided both goals of the game, both within five minutes of each other. The first goal came on a free kick from 18 yards out. In the 41st minute, she scored from 35 yards away on the left side. These marked Davis' first two collegiate goals. Goalkeeper Megan Morant recorded four saves in the game for the shutout. The Mountaineers game against East Texas Baptist University on Saturday was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Southwestern
The Pirates opened the season at home, falling to Whitworth 2-0 Friday afternoon and Hendrix 3-2 Sunday. In the home opener, Kylie Hunt recorded three saves and the team marked four shots, but couldn't come back from a two-point first half deficit. Allie Dillon and Angel Grayson each recorded a goal against Hendrix. Hayley Miesse lead both teams with five shots in the game, while Katherine Rodgers led the Pirates with three saves.
Texas Lutheran
The Bulldogs split the weekend, falling to East Texas Baptist 1-2 on Friday afternoon, but taking down LeTourneau 2-1 Saturday. Sioned Kirkpatrick, the 2013 leading scorer for TLU, kept the Bulldogs from getting shutout against ETBU, scoring an unassisted goal in the 53rd minute of the match. Saturday, Maegan Idrogo and Kelly Lochte struck early, giving TLU a 2-0 lead in the 22nd minute. LETU put in a goal of their own just before the first period was over, but couldn't come back in the second half. Erin Rose made four saves on the day.
Trinity
The No. 1 Tigers battled No. 7 Emory University battled to a 1-1 double-overtime tie Friday night before heading to Berry College for a 4-0 win. Against Emory, Kelsey Falcone scored her second goal of the season off of an assist from Kimberly Polasek in the 58th minute to tie the game at one. Goalkeeper Devan Osegueda recorded two saves in the matchup. Four Tigers recorded goals on Sunday, including All-American Emily Jorgens, Hannah Hommel, Maggie Olvera and Yasmeen Farra. Fellow All-American Falcone added two assists on the day while Polasek put up another and Olvera added the fourth.
