MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Texas Lutheran senior defensive end Ethan Powell been selected to the D3Football.com National Team of the Week for his outstanding performance in a win over Austin College on Saturday.
Powell was a disruptive force to the Austin College offense all day in Saturday's Bulldog road win. Powell registered three sacks (for 25 yards in losses), five tackles for loss (for 28 yards in losses) and a total of eight tackles (five solo) against the Kangaroos as well as a forced fumble. The senior defensive end helped limit the Austin College passing game to 9-for-24 with an interception and only 161 yards.
This is the third time Texas Lutheran has had someone named to the D3football.com Team of the Week. Back in week five, the Bulldogs' offensive line and Jordan Sims earned a spot on the team.
