It is the first time the second-year head coach of UD has garnered the accolade, and occurs after a successful campaign for her squad. Under her guidance, the Lady Crusaders boasted a three-win improvement both overall and in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).

The team's success also reflected the head coaches' hard work and dedication, netting head coach Pane the All-SCAC Tri-Coach-of-the-Year award.

The navy and white notched its best record in four seasons of affiliation with the SCAC, going 7-4-1 and claiming the third-seed to the conference tournament. Once there, Dallas advanced to the Semi-finals and fell in a highly contested 1-0 affair versus the second-seed, Texas Lutheran University.

Coach Pane has led the women's soccer team to a 17-23-1 record in two campaigns at the helm for the University of Dallas.
