Trinity Men's Soccer moves to No. 2 in NSCAA Poll, Colorado College Falls to No. 17

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Trinity University men’s soccer team moved up one spot to No. 2 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III Top 25 poll, while the Colorado College Tigers fell to No. 17. Complete Poll

Trinity remains at the top of the NSCAA West Regional rankings, while Colorado College held onto the second spot. Trinity also moved up a spot in the D3Soccer.com poll to No. 3 with 572 points, while CC dropped out of the top 25, earning 38 points. Complete Poll

TU recorded two wins this weekend, defeating Schreiner and Texas Lutheran to improve to 11-0 in conference play and 15-1 overall. The victories this weekend gave Trinity their 11th consecutive victory, including the team’s 24th consecutive conference victory, dating back to September 20, 2013. With these wins, Trinity also secured the first seed in the SCAC Men’s Soccer Conference Championship held in November.

Colorado College marked two double overtime draws this weekend against the University of Dallas and Austin College. CC still holds on to the second spot in the SCAC with a record of 7-2-2 in conference play and an overall record of 11-3-2. Colorado College’s two conference losses both came against Trinity.

Colorado College will return home this weekend to take on Texas Lutheran and Schreiner, while Trinity will play host to Austin College and Dallas.
