The Tigers are currently 7-2 on the young season, including a 6-0 record on their home field in San Antonio. They were ranked No. 16 by D3baseball.com in the initial preseason polls, released almost a month ago.

They opened the season with a 9-7 win over Texas-Tyler, followed by wins over George Fox, 7-5, and Whitter, 11-1. They went into the next weekend and earned a road victory over LeTourneau to move to 4-0 on the young season.
