LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - University of Dallas forward Nicole Johnson and Schreiner University goalkeeper Megan Morant earned the nod as SCAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week for week two.
SCAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NICOLE JOHNSON OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior forward from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 1 through Sunday, September 7.
Johnson scored three goals over to lead the Crusaders to a 1-1 record over the weekend in Kansas.
Johnson netted two goals against the University of St. Mary, taking nine shot with seven of them on target, to take a 3-1 victory. They fell to Bethany, but Johnson came through with a goal in the outing.
She now had five goals on the young season which leads the SCAC.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman forward Erin Eckart of Austin College made her first career goal a memorable one, punching in the game-winner in a 2-1 overtime victory over LeTourneau, and she also added an assist in a 3-1 win over Millsaps. Freshman midfielder Beth Davis of Schreiner put home two goals on five shots as the Mountaineers picked up a win in their lone game of the weekend against LeTourneau. Junior midfielder Allie Dillon of Southwestern scored the first goal of the season for the Pirates in a 3-2 loss to Hendrix on Sunday. Sophomore forward Maegan Idrogo of Texas Lutheran scored a goal against LeTourneau to give the Bulldogs their first win of the season. Senior forward Kelsey Falcone of Trinity scored one goal and two assists including a key equalizer over No. 7 Emory to force a 1-1 draw. Centenary did not nominate anyone.
SCAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MEGAN MORANT OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a freshman goalkeeper from Spring, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 1 through Sunday, September 7.
Morant earned her first shutout of her young career, a 2-0 win over LeTourneau to go 1-0 on the weekend.
Morant picked up four saves on the afternoon, keeping the YellowJackets off balanced all game long. For the Mountaineers, they have already matched their win total from a year ago, moving to 2-1 on the season.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior defender Anne Claire Cooke of Austin College started all three matches at center back and consistently marked the opposing team's top offensive threats. Freshman defender Ana Gutierrez of Southwestern played 168 minutes over the weekend as the Pirates dropped a pair of matches. Junior midfielder Kimberly Polasek of Trinity picked up assists in both games over the weekend, including the assist on the game-tying goal in the second half at Emory. Centenary, Dallas and Texas Lutheran did not nominate anyone.
