Colorado College and Trinity University Still Ranked by AVCA

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Colorado College Tigers (14-2, 3-0 SCAC) held onto their No. 10 spot on the American Volleyball Coaches Association of America Division III Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, while the Trinity University Tigers (11-4, 3-0) moved up one spot from No. 17 to No. 16. Complete Poll

The teams both began divisional conference play last weekend, each earning three wins. Colorado College did not give up a single set point, sweeping the University of Dallas, Austin College and Centenary College. Trinity started off the weekend against Southwestern University, winning the match in five sets before beating Texas Lutheran University 3-1 and sweeping Schreiner University.

Colorado College and Trinity split the SCAC Player of the Week awards, with Abbe Holtze of CC earning her second Offensive Player of the Week title this season and Shannon Courtney getting her first of the season as Defensive Player of the Week.

Trinity and Colorado College will face each other for the first time this season this weekend as they travel to Shreveport, La. for the SCAC Cross-Divisional competition where Trinity will also face Austin College, Dallas and Centenary, while Colorado College will meet up with Southwestern, Texas Lutheran and Schreiner.
