Women's Swimming & Diving Recap (Week 7) - Around the SCAC

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Only one Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s swimming & diving team competed this weekend.

Colorado College took on NCAA Division II Colorado State University Pueblo on the road.

Erin Silk won both butterfly events and Olivia Dilorati recorded three top-three finishes as CC cruised to a 165-108 victory over CSUP Friday night. Silk and Dilorati teamed with Megan Gillespie and Justina Zuckerman in the 200 Medley Relay, finishing the race with a time of 1:54.65. In her first individual race of the season, Dilorati took first in the 100 backstroke in 1:02.91. Later in the night, she took second in the 200 individual medley (2:23.02) and third in the 200 back (2:19.57), finishing just .03 behind teammate Katy Martinez. Zuckerman claimed first in the 50 freestyle, finishing just 11 hundredths of a second ahead of a CSUP opponent with a time 25.89. Zuckerman's later finished the 100 free with a time of 57.48 for second place. Gillespie also turned in three top-three finishes. She earned a win in the 200 breaststroke in 2:34.93 before taking second in both the 200 (2:16.61) and 100 butterfly (1:03.93). In the 1-meter diving, Mary Rose Donahue took first place with a score of 215.32, while Samantha Buxbaum was second with 185.33 points.
