Trinity Ranked Sixth in Opening ABCA Poll; Drop to 12th in D3baseball.com Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Trinity University baseball team were ranked No. 6 in the opening American Baseball Coaches Association Poll and fell one spot to No. 12 in the D3baseball.com Poll. FULL ABCA RANKINGS l FULL D3BASEBALL.COM RANKINGS

The Tigers moved to 14-4 on the season and saw their eight game winning streak snapped by Our Lady of the Lake, 7-4. 

Trinity would bounce back as they opened up conference play at home against the Centenary College Gents. The opened the series with a 10-4 win and would clinch the series the following night, earning an 8-3 victory. They could not complete the sweep as they would drop the final game to the Gents, 6-5. 

Fresh off wins over No. 2 St. Thomas and No. 7 Cal Lutheran, the Southwestern University Pirates received two votes in the latest D3baseball.com poll.

Trinity will hit the road this upcoming weekend as they continue SCAC play with a three game series against the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs.
