KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Trinity University men’s soccer team remains in the No. 2 spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III Top 25 Poll after the ninth week of play.

Despite earning two wins over the weekend, the Colorado College Tigers dropped out of the NSCAA poll this week, but remain No. 24 in the D3Soccer.com poll, where Trinity ranks No. 3. CC also dropped to No. 4 in the NSCAA West regional rankings, while Trinity held onto the top spot.

Over the weekend, Trinity defeated Austin College and Dallas by margins of six and four points, respectively.

The Tigers also earned one player of the week award as senior forward Johnny Lawson received the honor after tallying three goals in the two games, including the game winner against Austin College.

Trinity clinched the No. 1 seed in the SCAC tournament last week, and will finish their regular season competition against Southwestern University on Friday evening before beginning the SCAC Conference Championship November 7 in Seguin, Texas.
