Three Trinity Women's Soccer Players Earn D3soccer.com All-American Honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Three Trinity University women's soccer players earned All-American honors from D3soccer.com Monday. 2014 D3soccer.com All-America Team

Emily Jorgens, a senior forward from Austin, Texas, earned First Team honors for the second year in a row. Additionally, she is D3soccer.com's first four-time All-American, men's or women's. The 2013 Midfielder of the Year was one of two selections to have garnered top honors at their position last year.

Kelsey Falcone, a senior midfielder from San Antonio, Texas, was named to First Team alongside Jorgens. This is her second year to earn a spot on the All-American team from D3soccer after earning Second Team honors last season.

Jorgens and Falcone led a prolific Trinity offense that ranked in the nation, averaging 4.67 goals per game. Falcone led the conference 20 goals on the season, earning both SCAC Tournament Offensive Most Valuable Player and SCAC Offensive Player of the year awards. Jorgens finished the season with 19 goals and 27 assists.

Kirby Peddicord, a senior defender from Houston, Texas, helped a Trinity defense that ranked fourth in the nation, allowing .286 goals per game. Peddicord and the defense posted 17 clean sheets, including 10 matches where they didn't allow a single shot by their opponent.

The Tigers finished with a record of 22-1-1, with the team's only loss coming in the NCAA tournament to Thomas More College.

Jorgens, Falcone and Peddicord were all named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-West Region First Team in the fall, while Jorgens and Falcone also earned NSCAA All-American recognition.
