Trinity, TLU Move Up Spots in Latest Division III Baseball Polls

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Trinity University baseball team remained at No. 15 in the latest ABCA Baseball Rankings and moved up five spots to No. 17 in the latest D3baseball.com poll. The Tigers (22-10, 7-5 SCAC) went 3-0 this past weekend, earning a sweep over the University of Dallas in SCAC play. The Tigers outscored the Crusaders 26-1, getting terrific outings from Matt Tindall, Ryan Gray, and Trent Rape on the mound and huge offensive weekends from the likes of Jeremy Wolf and Beau Attyah. Earlier this week, the Tigers dropped a close contest to Our Lady of the Lake, 2-1.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs (24-9, 12-2 SCAC) have now won nine straight SCAC games to remain in first place in the SCAC Standings. Texas Lutheran has now won six straight games overall and 10 of their last 11 games. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 week last week, including a pair of home wins over Southwestern during the weekend. They also won a 13-11 shootout on the road at Mary Hardin-Baylor earlier in the week thanks to a monster performance from Keaton Bohrmann. They will make their finale against Southwestern tonight at 7 p.m.
