AVERY TUGGLE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior outside hitter from Cedar Creek, Texas, has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Co-Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 11 through Sunday, October 17. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 7)

shares the award this week with Colorado College's Georgia Mullins.

Tuggle willed the No. 3 Tigers past No. 16 Southwestern on Sunday to cap off another undefeated weekend for a 10-0 start in SCAC play and record Trinity's sixth victory against a nationally-ranked team this season. The 2019 SCAC Player of the Year led all participants in the five-set final in Georgetown with 18 kills to go along with four blocks and 13 digs for her ninth double-double of the season, her second of the weekend. She hit over .400 in both matches on Saturday, each with more than 20 attempts. For the weekend, the Cedar Creek, Texas-native collected 43 kills (3.31 per set) while hitting over .300 and added 10 blocks (one solo). 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior outside hitter Emma White of Southwestern totaled double-digit kills in all four weekend matches and double-digit digs in three of the four. She finished with 46 kills and 49 digs, including 14 kills in the Pirates' five-set match against Trinity. She also contributed four service aces and four blocks to finish with 52 points. Sophomore outside hitter Tanyse Moehrig-Woodard of Texas Lutheran was everywhere for the Bulldogs over the weekend, scoring 33 points including 25 in a five-set thriller against eighth-ranked UMHB. She finished the week with 30 kills, 11 digs, and five blocks. Sophomore setter Mia Moreno of Schreiner led the Mountaineers to two conference victories over the weekend. Among her numbers, the sophomore finished with 125 assists, 39 digs, and five service aces. Sophomore outside hitter Cassie Dyoub of Dallas put together a season best performance in a crucial conference match-up against Austin College. She recorded her third double-double of the season with 11 digs and a season high 20 kills while hitting .333. Her efforts lifted the Crusaders to a tight 3-0 sweep, as each set was determined by four points ot less.
