NATHAN BRAULICK OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior outfielder/first baseman from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, April 11 through Sunday, April 17. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 10
Braulick led the 19th-ranked Tigers to a 4-0 overall record last week, including a three-game SCAC weekend series sweep at Schreiner. He hit .462 (6-for-13) with five runs scored and five RBI in the three conference games, mixing in three doubles and a pair of triples among his six total hits, while posting a slugging percentage of 1.000, and an on-base percentage of .588 after drawing four walks.
This season, Braulick is hitting .511 overall in just 15 games played (11 starts). His two triples this weekend were his first of his career and he has compiled 18 RBI and 14 runs scored.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior shortstop Joe Jimenez of Texas Lutheran, highlighted by a 4-for-5, one homer, five RBI game on Saturday, had yet another productive weekend for the Bulldogs hitting .455 with six RBIs, two stolen bases, and five hits including his SCAC leading 14th homer. Senior third baseman Brady Robinson of Centenary had a big weekend at the plate for the Gents, leading the Maroon and White to a home sweep over Austin College. Robinson went 6-for-14 (.428) with a home run, a triple, four RBI, four runs scored, and two stolen bases. Robinson recorded his 15th and 16th multi-hit games of the season in the series and his fourth three-hit game of the season in the opener on Thursday night, a 10-0 win in seven innings. Sophomore infielder Alexander Cannata of Southwestern hit .500 (6-for-12) with three RBIs and four runs scored in the Pirates' three games, posting a 2-1 record against St. Thomas. First-year outfielder Dylan Lamb of St. Thomas continued his outstanding season against SCAC opponent Southwestern, posting a hit in every game. He added three RBIs and two triples in a monster game two, posting a 1.500 slugging average.
