CHRISTIAN SETTLES OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Claremont, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches player from Monday, February 1 through Sunday, February 7.
Settles went undefeated in singles on the road last weekend in West Texas, leading the Trinity men’s tennis team to a 2-1 record. Settles won straight-set victories at line three over Hardin-Simmons (6-3, 6-4) and McMurry (6-4, 6-4) to start his weekend, then won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 singles against Division I Abilene Christian University.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Vesko Lekovic of Southwestern picked up a victory at the No. 1 singles line last weekend to help like the Pirates to a victory over conference foe St. Thomas. Lekovic earned a straight set victory, winning 6-6, 6-3.
