Three SCAC Soccer Programs Earn USC All-Academic Honors

SUWANEE, Ga. – Three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's and women's soccer programs have been named to the 2022-2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Academic team, it was announced earlier this week. Complete Release from USC website

The Colorado College men led all SCAC programs with an impressive 3.83 GPA, the highest among all 314 men’s programs honored across all three divisions. The Tigers’ selection marks the 17th consecutive year and 23rd overall in program history.

On the women’s side, Trinity secured its second straight honor and third since 2019 with an overall team GPA of 3.50. Southwestern earned USC team academic honors for the sixth-straight year and 21st time in program history after posting a 3.30 team GPA.  

A total of 814 soccer teams (314 men, 500 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Of that total, 184 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
