PIETER BLANK OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior defender from Hague, Netherlands, has been named the SCAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, October 3rd through Sunday, October 9th. SCAC Men's Soccer Release (Week 6) 

Blank anchored a backline that only allowed one goal on 12 shots all weekend. The Tiger defense completely shut out Dallas and Blank was a big reason why they were not even able to get a shot off. On top of defending, the senior scored a goal on Friday and assisted on a goal on Sunday. Blank tallied 158 minutes on the weekend. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC: 
Dallas goalkeeper Anthony Gonzalez racked up 19 saves last weekend, including 14 in a loss to Trinity. Junior defender Mason Lubbe of Schreiner anchored the Mountaineer defense last weekend in a pair of SCAC victories. Lubbe also chipped in offensively with a goal in a 3-2 win over Dallas, securing back-to-back league victories for the first time since 2015 for Schreiner. Sophomore midfielder Louis Hart of Texas Lutheran led the Bulldogs to their eighth clean sheet of the year in a 5-0 win over Centenary last Friday. Hart also jumped in offensively, scoring a goal on four shots in the victory.
