ZAC BUNDER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Rye, N.Y., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through September 21. SCAC Golf Release (Week 1)
Bunder fired rounds of 72, 65 and 73 for a three-under-par total of 210, finishing in a tie for second among 58 golfers at the TLU John Bohmann Memorial Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the 6,676 yard, par 71 Starcke Park Municipal Course in Seguin, Texas.
One of just five golfers to finish the tournament under par, Bunder's second round 65 was the low round of the tournament and thrusted him into the lead headed into Tuesday's final round. The 65 is easily a career-best for Bunder, who had just two rounds in the 60s last season.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Chase Maus of Texas Lutheran finished sixth in the 58-player field, leading the Bulldogs to a third place finish at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational. Maus was one of just six players to shoot even par or better at the event, finishing with a three-round total of 213 (71-68-74). Freshman Karsten Paciotti of Dallas posted a seventh-place finish at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational, firing rounds of 72,69 and 73 to post a three-round total of 214 and help the Crusaders to a runner-up finish at the seven team event. Senior Colin O'Hern of Southwestern finished with a three-round total of 215 (69-76-70) to finish in a tie for eighth amongh individuals. He was the top finisher among his teammates, leading the Pirates to a fifth-place finish at the John Bohmann Memorial Tournament. Freshman Zhao Yung Gu of Schreiner posted rounds of 71-73-71 to finish at 215 (+2) and a tie for eighth at the John Bohmann Memorial Tournament. He was the only Mountaineer to finish in the top 20.
