Trinity's Locke Earns SCAC Men's Tennis Elite 19 Award

SUWANEE, Ga. -- In an announcement made today from conference headquarters, Trinity University's Dalton Locke was named the 2024 SCAC Men's Tennis Elite 19 award winner.

Locke, a senior from Humble, Texas, who currently holds a 3.972 GPA in Finance, earned First Team All-SCAC doubles honors this season, along with this playing partner and fellow senior Rob Chang. He and Chang finished the year with an 11-5 overall record in dual competition, splitting their time at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles line.

This is the first time a Trinity student-athlete has earned the Men’s Tennis Elite 19 honor.

Trinity finishes the 2023-24 academic year with six Elite 19 honors, tying with Colorado College for the most by one institution this year.

Established prior to the 2018-19 academic year and meant to recognize the best of the best within each of the league's 19 sponsored sports as it relates to both academic and athletic achievement, the SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has completed the equivalent of at least 60 credit hours at his or her current institution and has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA. The student-athlete must also have earned All-SCAC First or Second Team honors in his/her sport for that particular season.
