KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Eleven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer student-athletes earned recognition with the release of the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region team on Monday.
It marks the 14th consecutive season the SCAC has had 10 or more student-athletes land on an All-Region team, with a minimum of four first-team selections each season. Remarkably, the SCAC had nine of the region’s 11 First-Team selections. Trinity led all conference squads with four student-athletes to land on an All-Region team, followed by Southwestern with three athletes, Colorado College with two and St. Thomas and Texas Lutheran each with one honoree.
The conference was represented on the first team by Trinity seniors Jacob Galan, Brady Johnston and Fraser Burns and freshman Michael Meese, alongside Colorado College senior Kiran Singh and junior Sajji Singh. Southwestern junior Jack Viles, St. Thomas senior Luis Bencomo and Texas Lutheran senior Luis Green rounded out the conference’s nine first-team selections.
Southwestern also placed a pair of athletes on the region’s second team in sophomores Reagan Fortner and Skyler Frey.
