DALTON LOCKE AND JARED PERRY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, February 12 through Sunday, February 18. SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 3
Locke, a senior from Humble, Texas, and Perry, a first-year from Tucson, Ariz., won a pair of doubles matches to help lead the #14 Trinity men's tennis team to a pair of home victories. Locke and Perry put the Tigers up 2-1 after doubles with an 8-5 win at line two against Concordia University (Texas). Trinity went on to win the match 5-4. The duo also jump-started Trinity's doubles sweep against Hardin-Simmons, which led to an 8-1 team victory.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Jared Burton and senior Travis Rafferty of Southwestern went 2-0 this week, claiming victory in their doubles match against Dallas, 8-1, and then defeating the UT-Dallas duo, Nathan Qi and Jed De Luna, 8-7 (6), at No. 3 doubles. Sophomores Cashton Herrera and Eric Moninger of Texas Lutheran, playing at the top doubles line, earned an 8-5 victory over their opponents from Howard Payne on Friday.
