Georgetown is a city in Texas and the county seat of Williamson County, Texas. The population was 67,176 at the 2020 census, and it is 30 miles north of Austin. Founded in 1875 from four existing colleges, the oldest of which had been founded 35 years earlier, Southwestern University is the oldest university in Texas. It is in Georgetown about one-half mile from the historic square.
The Robertson Center provides more than 95,000 square-feet of comprehensive recreational and athletic facilities. It also houses the competition gym where the Southwestern men’s and women’s basketball teams and volleyball teams compete, a practice gym, weight room, indoor track/workout facility, athlete and public locker rooms and the Wazel Natatorium.
