GREENWOOD, Ind. - Senior Sean Majors of Trinity University Track & Field earned the second Academic All-District selection of his career from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday just hours prior to his competition in the 2022 NCAA III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the long jump.
Majors has spent the entire 2022 spring among the top marks in his primary event in NCAA III, culminating in his personal-best 7.52 meters in the attempt at the Saints Last Chance meet at Our Lady of the Lake University.
The Environmental Sciences and Geosciences double-major holds a cumulative 3.72 grade-point average and is the lone representative from Texas NCAA III programs within the district.
With his sixth-place performance in Thursday's event, Majors collected his third All-America honor, tying the second-most all-time in Trinity history, and the first to earn all three in the same event.
