Trinity and Southwestern Advance to SCAC Men's Tennis Championship Match

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- For the sixth consecutive championship, Southwestern University and Trinity University will meet for the SCAC Men's Tennis title. Official Website

With the expectations of inclement weather on Saturday, semifinal play was pushed up a day and played across both outdoor courts at Blossom Athletic Center and indoor courts at Newcombe Tennis Ranch late into Friday. Second-seeded Southwestern defeated Schreiner, 5-0, and top-seeded Trinity blanked St. Thomas by the same score. 

Earlier in the day, St. Thomas defeated Austin College, 5-2, in quarterfinal men's action.

Rain is expected to remain in the San Antonio area throughout the day on Saturday, therefore, after a late night of tennis, teams will take the day off and prepare for Sunday's championship match which is tentaviely scheduled for 10 a.m. CT, on the campus of Trinity.
