Colorado Springs, Colo. – The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America has announced that three Trinity University divers have been selected as All-Americans for the 2021 season.
Senior Anthony Liva and first-year Konstantine Partalas were chosen from the Tiger men's diving team, while Katarina Partalas was a repeat winner from Trinity's women's team.
In his first season at Trinity, Konstantine won the 1-meter competition at the 2021 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships and was second on the 3-meter board. Along with Liva, he is now one of just five men's diving All-Americans in Trinity history.
Older sister Katarina also earned All-America honors after qualifying for last year's NCAA Championships (which was cancelled due to COVID-19). She is the ninth Tiger diver to earn All-America accolades in multiple seasons. A six-time SCAC Diver of the Week, Katarina swept the 1-meter and 3-meter events in this year's SCAC Championships to earn both SCAC Diver of the Meet and SCAC Diver of the Year honors for 2021. She also won the 1-meter competition at the 2020 SCAC meet, as well as earning second on the 3-meter board that season.
Liva has won back-to-back SCAC Diver of the Meet and Diver of the Year awards and has earned All-SCAC honors on both boards in each of his four seasons at Trinity. He won both boards at the 2020 SCAC meet and was a repeat winner this season in the 3-meter competition. Liva was second to his teammate on the 1-meter board, but edged out Partalas to win the Diver of the Meet award. Liva is an eight-time SCAC Diver of the Week honoree who also qualified for the NCAA Championships in both 2018 and 2019. He was also a CSCAA Scholar All-American in 2017-18.
