Trinity's Teer Named NCBWA Division III Pitcher of the Week

DALLAS, Texas -- The honors continue to come in for Trinity’s Jackson Teer as he was named the Division III National Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association. Complete Release

On Monday, Teer was named SCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week and the following day he was listed on the D3baseball.com’s National Team of the Week.

Teer led the 19th-ranked Tigers to a 3-0 weekend against Austin College to open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. Teer pitched a seven-inning no-hitter in a 10-0 game-two victory, recording nine strikeouts and walking just one batter. A second-inning walk was the only thing that kept Teer from a perfect game. He retired the final 16 batters to close out the victory. Trinity’s pitching allowed just four runs and had two shutouts in the three-game set with Austin.

The sophomore right-hander is the first SCAC athlete to be recognized by the NCBWA for one of its national weekly awards since Centenary’s Tyler Herrera was named Rookie of the Week back in March of 2022. Teer is the first SCAC athlete to earn NCBWA Pitcher of the Week honors since Southwestern’s Brett Marcom was recognized back in 2014.

Keystone College’s Anthony Raimo was named the National Hitter-of-the-Week and Greensboro College's Evan Sykes earned National Rookie-of-the-Week.
