JACKSON TEER, TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore right-handed pitcher from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, April 3 through Sunday, April 9. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 9
Teer finished off Trinity baseball’s three-game SCAC weekend sweep of Dallas by earning a 10-0 shutout victory in the series finale on Sunday. Teer combined with teammate Harrison Durow, tossing a three-hit shutout to clinch the series sweep. Teer allowed just two hits over eight innings of work, striking out a career-high 12 batters for his team-leading sixth victory. This season, Teer also leads the team with 51 strikeouts in 49.2 innings and is holding teams to a .199 batting average against him.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman right-handed pitcher Chris Parsons of St. Thomas led the Celts to a key win last weekend over Centenary, snapping the team’s seven game skid. Parsons tossed a complete game, allowing just three runs on six hits and notched four strikeouts in the victory.
