SUWANEE, Ga. – Back-to-back SCAC Pitcher of the Week, Jackson Teer of Trinity University collected more national honors for the second consecutive week.
Teer was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for the second consecutive week and fourth time in his career, it was announced on Wednesday. Additionally, Teer was honored by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA), earning Honorable Mention National Pitcher-of-the-Week.
Last week, the junior tossed a complete-game four-hitter and tied Trinity’s all-time record with 20 strikeouts in a 9-1 win against No. 22 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Matched Jimmy Wingate’s single-game strikeout record from 1965. Teer set a SCAC record for strikeouts, becoming the 14th player in Div. III history to record 20 or more strikeouts in a game and was just two off the all-time record.
