CHRISTIAN SETTLES AND HAO NGUYEN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, April 5 through Sunday, April 11.
The team's mainstay line-one duo, Settles, a junior from Claremont, Calif., and Nguyen, a sophomore from Sugar Land, Texas, went undefeated in matches at University of Texas-Dallas and at home against University of St. Thomas last week, posting victories of 8-6 and 8-0, respectively. The Tiger pair have won five-straight matchups in the top slot of the doubles lineup and have a season record of 9-5 in a schedule littered with NCAA I and II opponents.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Alex Joseph and Steven Tibbetts of Southwestern went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles with wins over LeTourneau and East Texas Baptist. Carson Kirk and Dennis Miller of Schriener posted a victory at line one doubles against TLU, 8-1, helping the Mountaineers to a 9-0 victory.
