INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.
-- No. 8 Trinity University Men's Tennis will fly out to the campus of No. 18 University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia to take the 11th straight berth into the NCAA III National Championship tournament.

The Tigers (15-6) collected the program's 26th Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship two weekends ago with a lopsided shutout victory over No. 19 Southwestern University in Kerrville, Texas on the campus of Schreiner University.

Trinity will be hosted by a familiar squad in the Old Dominion as the Eagles of Mary Washington paid a visit to San Antonio in late March where the Tigers came away from the Al G. Hill Tennis Stadium victorious, 6-3, over the then-No. 22 squad. Although they have not met in competition this season, No. 13 Emory University is also a familiar sight for Trinity as both teams took part in the 2022 ITA Indoor National Championship in February, as the second and fourth seeds of the eight-team tournament.

Between the ITA's top-20 trio, there are eight singles players and six doubles teams ranked in their respective regions, of which three players and two duos belong to the Tigers. Senior Cameron Krimbill (Phoenix, Ariz. / Desert Mountain) continues to be a force at the top of the singles lineup this season as he holds an 11-4 overall record, 3-1 against nationally-ranked NCAA III players. Anchoring the early session is the 15-3 record of senior Christian Settles (Claremont, Calif. / Claremont) and junior Hao Nguyen (Sugar Land, Texas / Strake Jesuit), a duo that currently rides a 10-match winning-streak that began immediately after Trinity returned from the ITA indoor competition.

Junior Alessio Azzalini (Rome, Italy / Istituto Visconti) and the line-two doubles unit of senior Wilson Hamilton (Austin, Texas / ATA Prep) and junior Cameron Goldstein (Dallas, Texas / Episcopal) round out the ranked Tigers as the 16th singles player and 12th doubles team in the West, respectively.

No. 8 Trinity Men's Tennis opens NCAA III Regional competition in the national bracket's second round Saturday against the winner of Friday's St. Mary's College (MD) and Pennsylvania State University-Behrend matchup.
