AVERY TUGGLE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior outside hitter from Cedar Creek, Texas, has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 20 through Sunday, September 26. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 4)

Tuggle hit an impeccable .765 attack percentage for 13 kills against Texas Lutheran as part of a statement undefeated week for Trinity as she also hit .348 for 10 kills, added three blocks and led the Tigers with 17 digs in their quick-work sweep of No. 4 Colorado College on the road Saturday, Trinity's third sweep of a nationally-ranked opponent this season.

The senior collected three double-doubles for the week, a 3.78 kills/set average on top of a .415 attack percentage in the Tigers' SCAC contests while also averaging an impressive 0.78 blocks/set for an outside hitter for a 4.3 points/set mark. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore outside hitter Isabella Lipacis of Colorado College averaged 4.00 kills and 3.50 digs per set in CC's two victories last week. In the four-set victory over No. 18 Southwestern, Lipacis put down a season-high 18 kills and completed her fifth double-double of the year with 16 digs. She began the weekend with 15 kills and a .429 hitting percentage in the sweep of Schreiner, her highest percentage of the season in a match with 20 or more swings. Junior middle blocker Riley Brantley of Southwestern produced her best performance against the Pirates' toughest opponent so far this season, accounting for 18 kills on a .457 hitting percentage against Colorado College. She finished the week with 34 kills on a .338 clip, averaging 3.09 kills per set. She also had 5 service aces and finished the weekend with 44 points. Senior outside hitter Alyssa Davis of Centenary had another phenomenal weekend for the Ladies as she recorded 51 kills and 37 digs in three road matches over the week. She added three assists, four blocks, three block assists, and an ace. Davis is the team leader in both digs (164) and kills (195) and is also leads the team in digs per set (3.64) and kills per set (4.33).  Senior middle hitter Dayjah Whyte of Dallas led the Crusaders to a 2-1 record last week, with victories over LeTourneau and Centenary after averaging 2.80 kills per set (28 total) on a .179 hitting percentage. She also added in 11 digs and five total blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Victoria Smith of Austin College had an outstanding week as the 'Roos went 3-0, tallying double-digit kills in all three matches. Smith had a high of 16 kills in a road win over Howard Payne, and then had 12 kills in both of the team's wins against Centenary and Dallas. Smith averaged 3.33 kills with a .248 attacking percentage, and also added six total blocks for the week. Junior outside hitter Brooke Byer of Schreiner led the Mountaineers with 37 kills last week, averaging 3.08 kills per set. Sophomore outside hitter Tanyse Moehrig-Woodard of Texas Lutheran spearheaded the Bulldogs this weekend with 22 kills over three matches including 11 in TLU's 3-0 victory over Schreiner.
