CHRISTIAN SETTLES AND HAO NGUYEN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Monday, February 14 through Sunday, February 20. It marks the second conseuctive week the duo have been honored. (SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 3)
Settles, a senior from Claremont, Calif., and Nguyen, a junior from Sugar Land, Texas, once again provided stable play in last weekend's 9-0 shutout of University of the South-Sewanee and 8-1 victory over Hardin-Simmons as the Tigers' only pair to compete in both matches. The duo collected the first point in both contests from the first line with an 8-2 tally against Sewanee, 8-4 against HSU.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Hunter Bajoit and senior Hemanshu Rambojun of Southwestern defeated the No. 10-ranked doubles team in the Atlantic South Region, Ryan Olps and Noah Holsclaw of Sewanee, 8-2. Junior Race Haas and junior Tyler Head of St. Thomas posted an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles to lead the Celts to a 7-2 victory over Texas Lutheran to open SCAC play.
