Southwestern's Bajoit and Trinity's Krimbill Tabbed For NCAA Singles Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Southwestern's Hunter Bajoit and Trinity's Cameron Krimbill have both been chosen to compete in the NCAA Singles Championships later this month in was announced on Wednesday.

Bajoit helped lead the Southwestern men's tennis team to its first NCAA Tournament bid and was ranked the No. 4 singles player in the West Region, earning the highest regional ranking in program history. The junior went 12-1 in singles competition this season for the 14-2 Pirates, including a perfect 11-0 from No. 2 singles. He was named to the SCAC All-Tournament Team. 

Krimbill holds a 10-7 record in singles this season, which includes an 8-1 mark against Division III opponents in 2021. He is the top-ranked singles player in the West Region this season and will be making his first appearance in the NCAA Singles Championship.

For the individual championship, the national committee selected a percentage of singles from each of the four regions. The individual championship consists of 32 singles players with the selection of individuals for the championship being based on won-lost record, strength of schedule and eligibility and availability of student-athletes.

The tournament will take place May 28-30 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, following the team championships that will be held there May 24-26. The bracket for singles play will be released by the NCAA on May 26.
