WILSON HAMILTON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, March 7 through Sunday, March 13. (SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 6)
Hamilton played a strong role in the Tigers' pair of shutout victories on Saturday over Schreiner and McMurry. The senior put together a straight-sets shutout to clinch a 2-0 start in SCAC play this season against Schreiner, then recorded his first match and victory this season in line-one action with a 6-2, 6-2 output against the Warhawks in the afternoon.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Hunter Bajoit of Southwestern took top-ranked Case Western Reserve's James Hopper, the No. 6-ranked player in the nation, to three sets in a 6-4, 0-6, 7-10 loss. He then posted a 6-2, 7-5 victory over No. 13 Wesleyan's Peter Ankler.
