Sophomore pitcher Ky Kusak of Schreiner tossed a complete game to close out the regular season, earning the win in the Mountaineers, 8-2 victory over Dallas. Kusak scattered just six hits over seven innings and struck out three in the win. Junior pitcher Madison Vela of Southwestern closed out the regular season win an impressive complete game shutout victory over Austin College last Saturday. In a 3-0 win, Vela allowed just three hits in seven innings of work and stuck out three ‘Roos. Senior pitcher Ashlyn Strother of Texas Lutheran improved to 17-0 on the season with two wins over St. Thomas including a rare win in relief managing a sub-one ERA and holding the high-scoring Celts to one run over 9.2 innings of work.
