14 SCAC Athletes Earn Men's Soccer All-Region Accolades

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Fourteen Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer student-athletes earned recognition with the release of the United Soccer Coaches All-Region X Team on Tuesday.

It marks the 17th consecutive season the SCAC has had 10 or more student-athletes land on an All-Region team, with a minimum of four first-team selections each season. Remarkably, the SCAC had 10 of the region’s 12 First-Team selections. Colorado College led all conference squads this year with five student-athletes to earn All-Region honors, followed by Trinity University with four, Texas Lutheran University with three and Southwestern University with two.

The conference was represented on the first team by Colorado College seniors, Curtis Hale (D), Will Baiver (M) and Alexander Ward (M), junior Rex Karjian (D) and sophomore Alex Wolter (GK). Joining the CC Tigers on the First Team are Trinity seniors JonConnor Rule (D), Louis Instrall (M) and Hunter Cain (F) and junior Adam Knutson (F), while Texas Lutheran senior Jack Manke (M) rounds out the SCAC First Team honorees.

 Rounding out the SCAC All-Region selections were Texas Lutheran senior defender Diego Roman and senior midfielder Erick Lopez, along with Southwestern junior defender Raghav Sharma and senior midfielder Michael Grimm, all earning Second Team accolades.
