First year pitcher Sophia Ytuarte of Southwestern continued her hot stretch in the circle, earning a pair of complete game victories to lead the Pirates to an SCAC series win over Centenary. In 14 total innings, Ytuarte allowed just five earned runs and struck out nine batters to post a 2.50 ERA and a 1.79 WHIP in earning two wins in the circle. to Senior pitcher Ashlyn Strother of Texas Lutheran sprinkled four hits across seven innings and two starts as she went 2-0 on the weekend to help the Bulldogs post a sweep over Schreiner. Strother, who leads the SCAC with 102 strikeouts on the year after racking up 11 more last weekend.
