Regular season co-champions Colorado College and Trinity University both finished 10-0-1 and 31 points in conference play, with their only blemish a 1-1 tie between the two nationally-ranked powerhouses when they met a week ago in Colorado Springs. Entering this weekend's championship, Colorado College is seventh in the NPI national rankings while Trinity is 13th. The SCAC is one of just two NCAA Division III conferences with multiple teams in the Top 13.

Colorado College (15-1-3 overall) earned the top seed for the conference tournament by virtue of allowing fewer goals in league play, which was the tiebreaker necessary after head to head and results against other conference teams could not break the tie. The CC Tigers allowed just two goals in conference play compared to the five allowed by the Texas Tigers. CC has qualified for the postseason conference tournament each of the last 14 years and advanced to the title match four times over that stretch, with the program's last title game appearance coming in 2019.

Trinity (15-0-3 overall) secured the second seed and enters this weekend with no losses during the regular season for the third time in the last five years. The Tigers, who are making their 16th consecutive conference postseason tournament appearance and are the possesser of an SCAC record seven men's soccer tournanent titles, will be in search of their first tournament championship since 2018.

Southwestern University (11-2-4 overall) completed the regular season with a 6-2-3 conference mark and 21 points to lock down the third seed for this year's event. With four teams vying for the final two tournament slots entering Sunday's final regular season games of the season, the Pirates scored twice in the game's last five minutes to overcome a 1-0 deficit and defeat McMurry University to punch their ticket to Houston. Southwestern has played in the last 14 conference postseason events, are looking to return to the SCAC Tournament final for the first time since 2018 and fourth time overall.

University of St. Thomas (10-5-2 overall), the three-time defending champions of the event, earned the fourth and final seed after defeating Austin College, 4-1, on Sunday and finished with 20 points and a 6-3-2 league mark. The Celts trailed 1-0 in the regular season finale before scoring the equalizier with two minutes remaining in the opening half, and put the match away with three more goals in the game's final 13 minutes. St. Thomas is attempting to become the first program to win four consecutive conference tournaments since Trinity wrapped up its impressive seven tournament win streak in 2018.

For the second consecutive year, the men's and women's soccer tournament will be played at the same site and SaberCats Stadium in Houston will once again serve as host of this year’s event. This year's championship is scheduled to open on Friday, November 8 at 5 p.m. CT when No. 1 Colorado College takes on No. 4 St. Thomas in the opening men's semifinal fixture. The second men's semifinal is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. CT between No. 2 Trinity and No. 3 Southwestern. The two semifinal winners will meet on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT.

Tickets for this year's championship can be purchased here.

The seeds for this year's men's tournament are as follows:
1) Colorado College (10-0-1; 31 points)
2) Trinity (10-0-1; 31 points)
3) Southwestern (6-2-3; 21 points)
4) St. Thomas (6-3-2; 20 points)
