JORDAN ARCE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore right-hander from Thousand Oaks, Calif., has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 12 through Sunday, February 18. SCAC Softball Release - Week 2

Arce nabbed a pair of complete-game victories last week, leading Trinity to a 3-1 record against Howard Payne and 16th-ranked East Texas Baptist in the first home games of the year. Arce posted a 2.00 ERA after allowing just four earned runs over 14.0 innings pitched to improve to 3-0 this season from the circle. She tossed a three-hit shutout to open a Tuesday DH against Howard Payne, striking out seven batters to jump-start a DH sweep. Against #16 ETBU, Arce salvaged a DH split with a complete-game victory in the Saturday finale, allowing four earned runs on eight hits, and striking out six batters.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore pitcher Lauren Trott of St. Thomas made three appearances in relief last week, including earning a win in the Celts 16-10 win over Concordia. Trott finished with seven strikeouts in seven innings of work and post a 2.00 ERA scattering just eight hits in the three appearances. First year pitcher Celina Marchan of Schreiner recorded a 1-1 record in the circle last week for the Mountaineers. Marchan tossed a complete game with four strikeouts to pick up a win over Millsaps.
