In addition to swimming with the Tigers, Walker also works on campus as a lifeguard and a swim instructor. In the classroom, he is doing mitochondrial DNA replication protein research in a biochemistry research lab with Dr. Gustafson at Trinity. Walker is a Biochemistry major at Trinity, who is also a member of the Outdoor Recreation Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The Tigers opened the season against fellow SCAC member Colorado College on Friday, October 25, and Walker won the 100 fly and was second in the 200 fly at the meet. He was also a part of the winning 400 free relay and the runner-up 400 medley relay teams. Trinity’s men have won five consecutive SCAC Championships and will be seeking its fourth in the spring.
