Junior pitcher Alexus Johnson of Austin College went 2-0 in the circle over last weekend, notching wins against Mississippi University for Women and Rhodes in a pair of games in Memphis. Johnson threw two complete games, finishing the weekend with an ERA of 3.00, a WHIP of 1.50, and eight strikeouts compared to three walks. Junior left-handed pitcher Emma Shepherd of Centenary picked up her first-career win on Saturday in the Ladies' 15-5 romp over Hendrix in game two of their DH sweep over Hendrix. She came in to relieve starter Alexis Roach and went 4.2 innings and allowed no runs on two hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. She faced 18 batters and threw 78 pitches - 48 for strikes. First year pitcher Victoria Sossaman of St. Thomas posted a 2-0 record last week with a pair of complete game performances. In 12 innings of work, Sossaman scattered 12 hits, allowed seven earned runs, while striking out 13 batters and posting a 2.92 ERA.
