RYLIE EDWARDS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Frisco, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 22 through Sunday, March 28.
Edwards won the 400 hurdles at the TLU D3 Challenge with a mark of 1:07.67. This time ranks her first in the SCAC. Edwards also placed sixth in the 100 hurdles with a mark of 16.87 and ran a leg on the second place 4x400 team.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Kendall Accetta of Colorado College ran an altitude converted 2:24.32 in the 800 meters at the CSU-Pueblo Spank Blasing Meet. This time ranks her third in the SCAC. First-year Martina Caridad of St. Thomas finished second place in 1500 meter run, crossing the line in a time of 5:15.43.
