RUTH HILL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Abilene, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, April 10 to Sunday, April 16. SCAC Women's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 11
Hill led the No. 14 Tigers to a 5-4 road win at No. 19 Washington (Mo.) University over the weekend, improving the team's record to 12-4 this season. With the match square at 4-4, Hill finished off a 7-6, 6-4 win at line one to clinch the match.
Hill improved to 8-5 in singles play this season with her fourth consecutive victory - all at line one.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Hannah Reyna of Schreiner went 1-0 at No. 1 singles, picking up a conference victory against Austin College on Saturday. Sophomore Lauren Chisholm of Southwestern swept her number four singles spot match against Colorado College's Elizabeth Girian, 6-0, 6-0, on Thursday.
