Hill patrolled the first line of singles through both matches of the 16th-ranked Tigers' SCAC-opening Saturday against Texas Lutheran and St. Thomas. Hill earned a shutout set in each match as she produced back-to-back straight-sets victories over TLU's Elena Brancaleon (6-3, 6-0) and UST's Anamaria Gonzalez (6-0, 7-5).
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Nina Mitrofanova of Southwestern defeated Erin Kittredge of Mary Hardin-Baylor, 6-1, 6-1, in the Pirates' 7-2 team victory. She also picked up a big win in an exhibition match against UT-Rio Grande Valley, finally earning the 16-14 third set decider on her sixth match point.
