OLIVIA KIM OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year from Phoenix, Ariz., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, February 14 to Sunday, February 20. (SCAC Women's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 3)
Kim opened her collegiate career last Saturday with rousing success in match play as the Tiger rookie notched a shutout (6-0, 6-0) victory from line two in the team's 9-0 victory over East Texas Baptist. Later in the afternoon, Hill assumed the first slot in the singles lineup for a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the Tigers' 8-1 rout of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Romi Hodor of Colorado College went 3-0 on the week, which included picking up the team's only singles point in a 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (7) victory at No. 5 singles in Saturday's match against NAIA Midland University. Sophomore Jenny Reynolds of St. Thomas earned a sweep (6-0, 6-0) in her No. 4 singles match against Texas Lutheran on Saturday.
