Cushing earned the clincher in 16th-ranked Trinity's 5-4 decision over No. 19 Case Western Reserve University on Sunday afternoon. Trailing 3-1 early in singles play, Cushing was the last of five straight Tiger singles victories to clinch the match with a 5-3 lead at the time. Cushing dropped the opening set of her line six match, but battled back with a 6-1 win in the second. Her opponent retired early in the third and Cushing's win completed the Tiger comeback.
