Kim, a sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., and Hill, a sophomore from Abilene, Texas, led the 14th-ranked Tigers to a pair of wins over the weekend, defeating Austin College, 9-0, and taking down No. 37 UT-Dallas, 8-1. The Tiger doubles team earned a pair of wins at line one on Sunday, beginning with an 8-0 doubles victory to jump-start Trinity's 9-0 win over Austin College. Hill and Kim followed that with a thrilling 8-7 (16-14) win over the 10th-ranked doubles team in the region from UT-Dallas, putting Trinity in front 2-1 after doubles.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Hannah Reyna and senior Victoria Morales of Schreiner went 2-0 on the week, which included an 8-2 victory over TLU's Elena Brancaleon and Christa Bennett at top line doubles in Saturday's 6-3 conference win. First-year Victoria Gonzalez and sophomore Haley Hoffmann of Texas Lutheran picked up their third and fourth victories of the season, going 2-0 this week at line three doubles against Schreiner and Sul Ross. Senior Alejandra Lopez and first-year Ella Mullins of St. Thomas were able to handle their opponents from Dallas, taking the match 8-2 at line two doubles in Saturday's 9-0 sweep of the Crusaders. Sophomore Erika Synoski and senior Emma Kesterson of Southwestern defeated the UT-Dallas line three team of Suzuka Nishino and Tisha Nakakes-Nguyen, 8-0, in Saturday's 6-3 victory over the 37th-ranked Comets.
