Kim, a sophomore from Phoenix, Ariz., and Hill, a sophomore from Abilene, Texas, collected a pair of decisive line-one victories to open the 16th-ranked Tigers' 2023 season. The ITA's No. 25 doubles unit scored an 8-4 victory over Hardin-Simmons in the season-opener (Jan. 27) then followed up with a 8-5 win against NAIA Our Lady of the Lake in Trinity's home-opener Friday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Anamaria Gonzalez and first-year Ella Mullins of St. Thomas opened up their spring season on the road taking on a tough Concordia (Texas) team. In line one of doubles, the duo dominated their opponent, taking them down easily with an 8-2 victory.
